HEIRLOOM
Heirloom is a Norwegian-British electronic music duo made up of vocalist/songwriter Sara Sørensen (Sandefjord, NO) and saxophonist/producer Ben Nimmo (Birmingham, UK). Inspired by artists such as Burial, Bicep, Art School Girlfriend and Kalandra, the music combines introspective indie-folk songwriting with electronic dance.
Drawn to the ancient ritual functions of music, Heirloom channels feelings of hypnosis, connection and vulnerability within the ecstasy of the groove.
The duo made their debut in 2024 with their album 'Reverie' - an experimental dance and ambient project which explored texture, beat-switches, phasing and elements of musique concrète. Their recent work leans further into the realm of indie-dance, blending Sara’s raw, melancholic songwriting, in both English and Norwegian lyrics, with immersive, energetic club production, such as their recent track 'Oh Don't Tell' released on Anjunadeep in September 2025 and later selected for the label's 2025 yearbook compilation.
Based in London, Heirloom often perform here and in Sara's homeland, Norway. In June 2025, the pair performed in Bergen at the underground music festival JoyJoy at Smien, Laksevåg, following a sold-out London show at Next Door Records 2 to launch 'Reverie'. More recently, at the start of 2026, the group performed an hour-long live set of originals at Bush Hall in London.
